By 2008, about a third of the company’s revenues were generated from customers where supplier diversity was used to make connections necessary to secure and grow opportunities.
Through supplier diversity, Tembua has developed business relationships with Boston Scientific, SUPERVALU, Target, Medtronic, Cargill, Toro, Lockheed Martin, CVS/Caremark and HCSC, while increasing business with existing clients such as 3M, Wal-Mart, and General Mills.

Teena Risley is the Business Development Manager for TEMBUA, the NEW face of Precision Language Services (www.tembua.com), a Minnesota-based linguistics firm providing comprehensive linguistic services for 100+ languages to private industry and government agencies on a global scale. Utilizing their WBE status, Ms. Risley has helped TEMBUA develop business relationships with Fortune 500 companies such as Boston Scientific, SUPERVALU, Target, Medtronic, Cargill, Toro, Lockheed Martin, CVS/Caremark and HCSC, while increasing business with existing clients such as 3M, Wal-Mart, and General Mills.
Ms. Risley is steering committee member for the Women’s Business Development Center-Minnesota (MN-WBDC), a mentor for newly certified WBEs and a seasoned panelist for the WBDC-MN’s “I’m Certified, Now What” and “Maximizing Trade Shows” seminars.
As Business Development Manager, Teena is responsible for developing and implementing the global marketing communications plan for TEMBUA, the NEW face of Precision Language Services, reporting directly to the CEO. In addition, she coordinates with vendors, maintains the corporate supplier data base, handles corporate travel arrangements and updates government registrations.
Ms. Risley has owned her own consultancy firm and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont. Teena is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Communication degree program at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. Ms. Risley is also on the board of directors for the Pay It Forward Fund (www.payitforwardfund.net), a charity that provides funds to women undergoing cancer treatments in the Twin Cities area.
