BREAKING NEW GROUND IN SUPPLIER DIVERSITY: Disabled Owned Business Enterprises

This webinar was recorded on June, 17th 2009

Corporate diversity supplier programs identify and provide business opportunities to for-profit enterprises that are minority owned, operated and controlled by diverse populations, such as African-Americans, Asian-Indian Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, Hispanic Americans, Women, Native Americans, and Veterans or Service-Disabled Veterans. It is generally expected that minority- and women-owned businesses interested in working with corporate diversity supplier programs become certified through a third party. Corporate diversity supplier programs quite intentionally seek to increase business ownership viability, resulting in economic independence for diverse populations.

The USBLN® is launching a Diversity/Disability Supplier Program to certify Disabled Owned Business Enterprises. Come learn about:

  • Who is an owner with a disability (definition of disability)
  • How much ownership (51% or more) is sufficient to qualify
  • When the program will officially launch and begin certifying Disabled Owned Business Enterprises
